Encourage Mindset Podcast featuring Brad Strawbridge

Brad Strawbridge joins the Encourage Mindset podcast for a 28-minute live conversation on faith, recovery, mindset, and the mission behind Capital City Roofing, BuilderLync, and the Feeding the Future Project.
Capital City Roofing founder and CEO Brad Strawbridge joined the Encourage Mindset podcast on April 26, 2026, for a 28-minute live conversation on the themes that drive every decision at Capital City Roofing: faith, mindset, recovery, and mission.
The Encourage Mindset show is built on the premise that mindset is upstream of every external outcome a person is trying to produce, and the wrong mindset is upstream of every problem that resists every other fix. Brad's story is the case study. He went from sleeping in a truck in a Walmart parking lot at 25 to running a multi-market roofing company, a CRM software company, and a nonprofit by his late thirties. The thing that changed first was the mindset. Everything else came after.
Faith as the operating system
Brad is a licensed pastor who never separated the spiritual side of his life from the business side. The conversation goes deep on why faith is not a marketing tactic at Capital City Roofing but a structural choice that shows up in how the team treats employees in the worst week of their year, how customer disputes get resolved, and how margin opportunities that would require less honesty get declined.
That same operating system runs underneath the Capital City Roofing Licensing Platform and the BuilderLync technology Brad co-founded. Licensees inherit a brand, an operating system, and a cultural posture, and the cultural posture is the part that matters most over the long arc of a partnership.
Mission as the multiplier
The roofing business is the engine. The mission is the destination. Brad and the host work through why those have to be connected for either to make sense.
Capital City Roofing exists in part to fund the Feeding the Future Project, the 501(c)(3) Brad founded with the goal of feeding one million children in ten years. Every roof Capital City Roofing replaces contributes to that mission. It is not a marketing line on the About page. It is a structural commitment that the team can see themselves contributing to every day. That is what mission means in practice. It is the multiplier that pulls people forward when motivation runs out.
The recovery thread
Brad does not hide where he came from. The recovery story is one of the most direct ways he can show that the comeback is possible to the next person sitting in a parking lot at 25 wondering whether to make the call. The Encourage Mindset conversation walks through the pivotal moment, the first phone call, the program that gave him a second chance, and the years between then and the launch of Capital City Roofing.
